By reflecting the area it serves, The Lennox has a unique community identity to serve a number of established and affluent communities.

The Lennox, formerly The Lennox Herald until its relaunch last year, is a 151-year-old title, based in Dumbarton and covering a large geographical area, including the towns of Alexandria, Balloch and Helensburgh as well as Loch Lomondside and the villages of Old Kilpatrick and Bowling. Full of powerful stories and interesting features, and containing an unrivalled diary section, it has a strong reputation in the communities it serves. It has a new eye-catching masthead featuring Dumbarton Rock.

As expected from a Scottish and Universal Newspapers' title, The Lennox boasts quality editorial and is the number one choice in the area for local advertising. It majors on news and sport, with features and supplements for prestigious clients in the area run on a regular basis.

The circulation area stretches from the Erskine Bridge through the towns of Dumbarton and Helensburgh throughout the Vale of Leven and on to Loch Lomond.

An edition serving the Helensburgh and Lochside areas of Argyll and Bute accompanies The Lennox.

This blanket coverage ensures that no part of West Dunbartonshire misses out, and with new technology working in tandem with the dedicated staff, The Lennox continually strives to ensure the best in the area is made even better. The Paper is regularly in the list of Scotland’s top 10 local newspapers.

In addition to The Lennox, the team in Dunbartonshire also produce a very strong free weekly title, The Clyde Weekly News. This was brought into the Scottish and Universal Newspapers’ stable in 1993 and has gone from strength to strength ever since.
